Hajiya Bilkisu Saulawa, the Special Assistant on Women Affairs to the Katsina State Governor, has empowered around 1,000 ladies in Daura Zone.

According to Cliqq Magazine Correspondent reports that Saulawa gave to the recipients things which include:200 sewing machines; 300 groundnut sack; 300 house trade, 100 sacks of Soya beans; 100 sacks of beans and 200 spaghetti making machines to the 1000 beneficiaries.

She said at a function in Daura that the program was gone for boosting the financial status of the women particularly those in the rural regions.

She said that the program would be extended to oblige more women.

The exceptional counsel approached the recipients to make sensible utilization of the materials by building up little scale organizations.

The Wife of the Governor, Hajiya Zakiya Masari, praised the foresight and prescience of the special adviser in initiating the program.

Zakiya said the State Government had so far empowered more than 500,000 women in the state over the most recent two years.
