Over N97billion has been refunded to collapsed depositors of 15 banks by the Nigeria Depositors Insurance Cooperation (NDIC).
The director public affairs and communication Hadi Sule stated this at the 2017 financial literacy day celebration held at family support secondary school Katsina.
Hadi said about 48 commercial banks so far collapsed and that NDIC is committed towards refunding depositor’s funds to them.
He also added that aim of the celebration is to sensitize youth on money matters across the world.
A total of 250 students from selected schools participated in the program to celebrate money week in Katsina.
